BERG AeroWall Training Guide — Exercises, Tricks & Workout Ideas

The BERG AeroWall is a vertical rebound wall that attaches to your FlatGround trampoline. It opens up a completely new dimension of training — wall-assisted flips, parkour movements, rebound exercises and freestyle tricks. Here's how to use it.

    What Is the BERG AeroWall?

The AeroWall is a 200 × 200cm vertical rebound wall that mounts to the end of a BERG FlatGround trampoline. It consists of a tensioned fabric surface stretched across an angled steel frame — like a trampoline mat turned on its side. When you bounce toward the wall, you can push off it with your feet, hands or body to launch into wall-assisted tricks, rebounds and rotations. It's used by freestyle trampolinists, parkour athletes, martial arts practitioners and anyone who wants to add a vertical element to their trampoline training.

    Which Trampolines Are AeroWall Compatible?

The AeroWall is designed for BERG FlatGround models only. It attaches to one end of the trampoline. Compatible models:

    Beginner AeroWall Exercises

Start here if you're new to the AeroWall. Focus on controlled movements and getting comfortable with the wall surface.

    Wall Touch

Bounce gently toward the wall and touch it with both hands at the top of your bounce. Push off lightly and land back on the trampoline mat. Repeat to build comfort and timing with the wall distance.

    Wall Run (2-Step)

Approach the wall from a few bounces. Place one foot on the wall, then the second foot higher. Push off the wall and land on the trampoline. This is the foundation of all wall tricks — the classic parkour wall run.

    Wall Sit

Bounce toward the wall and place both feet flat on it at hip height. Hold for a moment — you'll be 'sitting' on the wall with your body horizontal. Push off and land. Develops spatial awareness and core strength.

    Rebound Pass

Bounce into the wall feet-first and let the wall bounce you back. Keep your body straight. This teaches you how the wall rebound works — essential for all advanced wall tricks.

    Intermediate AeroWall Exercises

Once you're comfortable with wall contact and rebound, progress to these rotational movements.

    Wall Backflip

Run up the wall (2-3 steps) then push off and perform a backflip, landing on the trampoline. The wall height gives you extra rotation time. This is the most iconic AeroWall trick.

    Wall Front Flip

Bounce toward the wall, place feet on the wall at chest height, push off and rotate forward. Tougher than the backflip as you can't see the landing until you're around.

    Wall Side Flip

Run up the wall from a sideways approach and push off into a side somersault. Combines wall run technique with lateral rotation.

    High Wall Run

Extend the wall run to 3-4 steps, going as high as possible before pushing off. Develops the strength and confidence needed for advanced combinations.

    Advanced AeroWall Exercises

These exercises should only be attempted by experienced athletes with prior gymnastics or parkour training.

    Wall Double Backflip

Full wall run into a double backward rotation. Requires maximum height on the wall and explosive push-off. Competition-level trick.

    Wall Twist

Wall backflip with a 180 or 360-degree twist added. Combines wall rotation with twisting skills.

    Wall Combo

String together multiple wall contacts in a single routine — e.g., wall run → backflip → land → immediate wall run → front flip. Requires excellent trampoline control and stamina.

    Wall-to-Mat Routines

Combine AeroWall tricks with standard trampoline skills for complete routines. Example: back somersault → wall run → wall backflip → front drop → standing. Used in freestyle trampoline competitions.

    AeroWall Fitness & Conditioning

The AeroWall isn't just for tricks. It's an excellent conditioning tool.

    Wall Push-Offs

Bounce into the wall, push off with both hands like an explosive push-up. Builds chest, shoulder and arm strength. 3 sets of 10.

    Wall Knee Drives

Run up the wall bringing knees high with each step. Come down and repeat. High-intensity cardio that builds leg power. 30-second intervals.

    Wall Plank Holds

Place feet on the wall, hands on the trampoline mat. Hold a plank position on the unstable surface. Develops core stability. 3 × 30 seconds.

    Rebound Squats

Bounce into the wall feet-first, absorb the rebound in a squat position, then explode back toward the wall. Develops explosive leg power. 3 sets of 8.

    AeroWall Safety

    • Always warm up thoroughly before using the AeroWall
    • Start with beginner exercises regardless of your experience level — the wall changes the physics significantly
    • Never use the AeroWall alone until you're confident with all beginner movements
    • The AeroWall surface is designed to flex — it won't support your full body weight statically. Always be in motion.
    • Keep the area around the trampoline clear of objects
    • Wear appropriate athletic clothing and bare feet or trampoline socks
